Nestled in the woods at the back of Downley Common, the Le De Spencers is a traditional Chilterns flint pub on the edge of National Trust land. It’s the perfect place to relax – with open fires and cosy low-beamed ceilings providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

With live music, a weekly quiz and live sports channels including Sky and TNT Sport, there’s rarely a dull moment at the Le De Spencers. It’s the quintessential village pub, the beating heart of the local community – and it’s a magnet for passing visitors too.

Right on the edge of National Trust countryside, there’s no shortage of greenery around the pub. But we’ve got our own ‘great outdoors’ too – a beautiful, spacious, family-friendly garden ideal for enjoying a drink or two in the sun. Dogs on leads are welcome.
